The Red Rock Corridor is a 30-mile transportation corridor that extends from Hastings to the Union Depot in St Paul and on to downtown Minneapolis. Considered the most viable transit option for the southeast metro, the Red Rock Corridor will connect to other transit lines, including high-speed rail to Chicago and the Central Corridor light-rail transit. Once completed, commuter rail in the Red Rock Corridor will give commuters the opportunity to use an enhanced transit system, allowing commuters to travel from Hastings to not only St. Paul - Minneapolis, but also Big Lake, Bloomington and Eden Prairie.
